In the evening seminar we hear three different small business stories about internalization. Entrepreneurs tell about the needs, challenges and steps they have taken in their internationalization process and what kind of lessons they have learned.

- "Internationalization of a Finnish SME group by the means of cross-boundary innovation"
Mr Samuli Taponen, CEO at Future Missions Ltd., a non-profit company.
Mr Taponen is a portfolio entrepreneur and a network builder of the federation of Finnish Technology Industries. His mission is to boost Finnish business life’s working processes. Mr Taponen’s specialties are financial applications and project planning for development and investing as well as information system architectures for mid-sized industrial companies. He’s also doing Ph.D. studies in network marketing and cost management.

Mr Petteri Hannonen, CEO at Ampparit Ltd.
Mr Hannonen is a serial entrepreneur, who has focused on business in the Internet and in Russia. The main focus of Mr Hannonen is Ampparit Ltd, which is promoting and operating the Ampparit.com news aggregator and the Witpik media monitoring. With almost 300,000 visitors per week Ampparit.com is the most popular news aggregator in Finland. Witpik is a professional media monitoring service, and its main markets are Finland and Russia.

Mr Santeri Koivisto, CEO at SCGroup Ltd.
SCGroup Ltd’s work is focused on the applications of games in education. They don’t develope games, but they create materials to support game usage in schools and train teachers to use them. They also do consulting around the game scene and have a couple of websites. Currently their minds are focused on Minecraft's classroom use.
Target group:
People with a higher education (university or polytechnic) in North Karelia and students of the University of Eastern Finland. Also exchange students from the UEF and the University of Applied Sciences are warmly welcome. The seminar is free of charge for the target group.
